Midjourney for August 2023

Cary Grant remains a popular subject with Midjourney members.  Let's look at the newest portraits of Grant.

I produced these last two images.

Another popular subject with Midjourney members is The Three Stooges.  Icywinter created these multi-colored portraits of the Stooges.

We got an extra Stooge in that last image.

Ohhaimark thought that we needed a Gen Z Three Stooges.

Sleestack2468 had the idea of featuring the Stooges in a Tarantino film.

I used Sleestack2468's prompt to produce additional images.

I then asked Midjourney to depict the Stooges as hit men in Pulp Fiction.

I liked how this turned out.  It encouraged me to recast the Stooges in another classic film.  This time, I picked Jaws.

I wrote an article about the adultery subplot in the Jaws novel.  I needed an image that combined the shark theme and the sex theme.  I thought that it would be funny to have Cupid shooting an arrow at a shark.  But Midjourney could not handle the request.  The shark doesn't look like a shark.  Cupid doesn't look like he knows how to use a bow and arrow.

I needed an illustration for an article called "Oppenheimer: Atomic Adulterer."  These are the runner-up illustrations.

Superjava68 asked for an image that depicted Doris Day, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.  This was the result.  Is this woman meant to be a composite of the three actresses?

Kelly (at least Midjourney's version of Kelly) is front and center in the following images.

Superjava68 went on to create images for a make-believe pop-art 1960s science fiction film that featured Kelly living on a space station.

This Wes Anderson version of the Flash was conceived by thiccboyryan.

Heinrich Hoffmann's 1845 children's book Der Struwwelpeter featured a slovenly young man called Shock-headed Peter.  Peter is described in the book as dirty and ungroomed.  He has a messy head of hair and long fingernails.  But Midjourney's various interpretations of the character are not at all slovenly.

Rachel Zegler plays Snow White in Disney's new live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  Zegler said in a recent interview, "It's no longer 1937. . . She's not going to be saved by the prince, and she's not going to be dreaming about true love.  She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be."  In the original story, Snow White is a beautiful young princess who arouses a jealous rage in her evil queen stepmother.  The queen orders a huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and murder her.  But the huntsman cannot bring himself to commit the bloody deed.  Instead, he warns Snow White to run away and never come back.  As suggested by Zegler, the new Snow White makes plans to depose the evil queen so that she can become a ruler of her father's kingdom.  Is this really the Snow White that we need to see?

During the interview, Zegler had me thinking of Sharon Stone from Basic Instinct.

Here are a few other images that I produced in the last month.
