Rattle of a Simple Man (1964): Screen Captures

Rattle of a Simple Man (1964) is a simple two-character piece.  While in London to see a soccer game, shy and anxious 39-year-old virgin Percy is goaded by his friends to talk to a beautiful woman seated alone at a bar.  It turns out that the woman, Cyrenne, is a prostitute.  Cyrenne takes a liking to the naive Percy and brings him back to her apartment, where the couple open up to one another about their lives.

Percy is played by Harry H. Corbett, who is best known for playing disgruntled junk man Harold Steptoe in the long-running sitcom Steptoe and Son.  Cyrenne is played by Diane Cilento, a distinguished actress who had prominent roles in The Admirable Crichton (1957), Tom Jones (1963), The Agony and the Ecstasy (1965), Hombre (1967) and The Wicker Man (1973).
