Midjourney, the AI image-generator, does not understand slapstick comedy. The idea of funny violence is beyond its comprehension.
To start, I asked the program to create an instructional manual on the slapstick fall. It produced a manual on the waterfall.
That was a surprise. I tried again, carefully tweaking my instructions. This was the ghastly result.
Next, I attempted to produce medical textbook pages that explained the anatomy of the comedian. This was not ghastly, but it was nightmarish in its own way. The elements of the comedian's bodily structure include a squirting flower, a funny bone, a rubber chicken, and a joy buzzer.
